What’s the dose,
and who says so?

The dose people most often cite for every compound on the site, and for each one, where that number came from.

Most of them were never tested.

We do not publish a dose range for this one, and that is deliberate. The doses used where it is a prescription medicine are set and monitored by a prescriber, and the pattern that produces dependence is regular self-directed use at escalating doses. Publishing a number here would be an instruction to start.

No human dose has been established for the use it is sold for. Klotho

No human dose exists. The mouse work most often cited used recombinant Klotho at 0.01 mg per kg per day into the abdomen for ten weeks. Scaled naively to a person that is well under a milligram a day, and at research-grade prices that is thousands of dollars a day, which is a useful sanity check on what a cheap vial can plausibly contain.

What the numbers say

232 compounds, one number each

79
From a label or a study

Someone actually measured this in a person.

45
Community convention

Repeated widely. Traced to no study.

36
Sold as a fixed course

A course printed on the box, not a dose.

41
Never dosed in a person

No human dose exists to cite.

A community dose is not necessarily wrong. It means that when we went looking for the study behind the number, there wasn’t one. Where the only figures online looked invented or were carried over from a different compound, we left them out and said why on that compound’s page. Skincare peptides and course products are counted separately, because a concentration in a finished serum and a course printed on a box are both different things from a dose.

Worth knowing

A label dose is for the approved product

FDA-label figures describe the approved drug at the strength and route it was approved for. A research vial sold under the same name was never tested against that label.

Numbers that repeat are usually copied

Many vendor pages print identical round numbers for unrelated compounds. That pattern usually means a figure was copied rather than measured. Seeing a number everywhere is not evidence for it.

A blend has one dose

A blend's dose is written against one component, and the others follow at whatever ratio is in the vial. See what each blend delivers

Common questions

Does this chart tell me what dose to take?

No. It shows the dose people most often cite and where that number came from. For most compounds on this page nobody has tested a dose, and we say so rather than repeat a number.

Why do some compounds show no dose at all?

Because we could not trace one to a person. Some were only ever studied in cells or animals. For others, the figures online were invented or borrowed from a different compound, so we left them out and explain why on the compound's page.

Why do skincare peptides show a percentage instead of a dose?

They are applied in a finished product at a concentration the manufacturer sets. There is no injected dose to report, so the chart shows the concentration products use.

How do I turn a dose into a syringe reading?

Use the calculator. Enter your vial size, the water you added and your dose, and it gives the draw in units on a U-100 insulin syringe.

This page describes what people cite. It does not tell you what to do.
