How do you store it?
Before mixing, and after.Dry powder in the freezer or fridge. Once mixed, fridge, and use within about a month.
Unmixed lyophilized ACE-031 (Ramatercept) keeps for a long time cold. Once you add water the clock starts: most reconstituted vials hold up for roughly 28 to 30 days at fridge temperature. Keep it out of light, and do not freeze it after mixing.

- The mechanism also blocks proteins that keep blood vessels stable, so this was a design problem rather than a dosing one

- Phase 2 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of ACE-031 in boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Muscle & Nerve(2017)Subcutaneous dosing every 2 to 4 weeks. The trial was stopped after the second dosing regimen over nosebleeds and telangiectasias, which are blood vessel effects rather than muscle effects. Lean body mass, bone mineral density, fat mass and the 6-minute walk distance all moved in the expected direction but none of it reached statistical significance. The primary objective was safety, so the trial was never designed to prove the muscle effect in the first place.
- Phase 1 single ascending-dose study of ACE-031 in healthy volunteers, Muscle & Nerve(2013)48 healthy postmenopausal women, randomized 3:1 to a single subcutaneous dose or placebo. Total body lean mass rose 3.3% and thigh muscle volume 5.1% at day 29, both only in the top 3 mg/kg group. Mean half-life was 10 to 15 days. This is one dose, in women whose average age is far above the people ACE-031 is sold to, measured at four weeks.
