- ClinicalTrials.gov NCT05567796, REDEFINE 1(2025)68-week phase 3 trial in 3,417 adults, with a cagrilintide 2.4 mg monotherapy arm. This is the first phase 3 result for a long-acting amylin analogue used on its own for obesity.
- Novo Nordisk, REDEFINE 1 results published in the New England Journal of Medicine(2025)Cagrilintide alone produced 11.8 percent weight loss at 68 weeks on the adherence estimand, against 16.1 percent for semaglutide alone and 2.3 percent for placebo. Alone, it is the weakest of the three active arms.
