    SNAP-8 is Acetyl Octapeptide-3, and the review describes it as an elongation of Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 working the same way, by interfering with the SNARE complex to reduce acetylcholine release and so muscle contraction. The evidence entry for it is a randomized controlled study, but marked as supplier information rather than independent published work, which is the distinction that matters when comparing it to its better-studied relative. Worth knowing how this review grades evidence: it marks study types that came from the ingredient supplier rather than independent published work, and almost every peptide in its table carries that mark. The authors state that most clinical studies in this field are run by suppliers to generate marketing claims, are not published in peer-reviewed journals, and do not disclose their methods.
