This group holds two very different things under one heading. Most of it is topical: copper peptides and signal peptides that sit in a cream and are judged on whether enough of the molecule ever gets past the outer layer of skin. A smaller part is injected, and that part is where the safety questions live.
The evidence follows the same split. The topical side has small cosmetic trials measuring fine lines and skin quality over weeks, usually funded by the ingredient supplier. The injected tanning peptides have case reports rather than trials, and the reports are mostly about moles changing and nausea.
Read the route line on each card before anything else. A peptide studied as a cream tells you nothing about the same peptide in a syringe, and vendors sell several of these both ways.

Copper peptides and signal peptides such as Matrixyl have small published trials showing modest improvements in fine lines and skin quality. Injected tanning peptides have far weaker safety data.
Are cosmetic peptides regulated?
