What is 5-Amino-1MQ?
Plain language first. The technical label stays, but it never stands alone.Overview
It takes the brakes off how cells burn fuel. That is why it is studied for fat loss and energy. Human data is very limited.
5-Amino-1MQ is a small molecule, not a peptide, that blocks an enzyme called NNMT which helps fat cells store fat.
What it's used for
People take it hoping to speed up metabolism and burn fat, usually in cycles. Human data is very limited, so results are uncertain.
How does 5-Amino-1MQ work?
What it does in the body, and where.5-Amino-1MQ is a small molecule, not a peptide, that blocks an enzyme fat cells use to keep storing fat.
- 01It inhibits NNMTAn enzyme that is unusually abundant in fat tissue and appears to help fat cells hold onto what they store.
- 02In mice, fat cells shrank and metabolism roseThe animal results are the entire basis for the interest in it.
- 03There is essentially no human dataNo completed clinical trial establishes that any of this happens in people, or what a safe dose would be.

What else is it used for?
Each use below carries its own evidence level. Approved means regulators have cleared it for that purpose. Investigational means it is in trials. Early research means it is being studied and is not established.

How much, and do you cycle it?
The range, and whether you take breaks.0.15 up to 5 mg per day injected (the capsule dose is far higher, see below), daily, cycled. Commonly cycledCommunity practice
Cycled by convention rather than to a tested schedule. No published study establishes a block length or a break length for this one.
How long does it stay in the body?
The half-life, and where the figure comes from. Not establishedCommunity practice
The 5 to 8 hour figure is usually credited to a 2019 University of Vienna study. No such study can be found.

How do I dose and price it?
Enter your vial and your dose. Pick a mix. We show the draw and the cost. The vial holds a fixed amount of drug. Adding more water does not make more drug, it just spreads it thinner, so you draw a bigger number on the syringe for the same dose.

Your draw
3 / 100 unitsBy capsule instead: 50 to 150 mg per day. Capsule dose. Most research-context use of this compound is oral.
5-Amino-1MQ starts at $19.00 across 49 vendors, typically $1.30 – $9.00 per mg.

How do you store it?
Before mixing, and after.Dry powder in the freezer or fridge. Once mixed, fridge, and use within about a month.
Unmixed lyophilized 5-Amino-1MQ keeps for a long time cold. Once you add water the clock starts: most reconstituted vials hold up for roughly 28 to 30 days at fridge temperature. Keep it out of light, and do not freeze it after mixing.
What are the side effects and cautions?
Known cautions and warnings for this compound.Check which form you have before you calculate anything. Capsules are dosed at 50 to 150 mg a day. That same amount injected would be 10 to 30 mL of liquid, and a subcutaneous injection tops out around 2 to 5 mL per site, so the capsule number cannot be used with a syringe. Injected figures run from 150 mcg to 5 mg a day instead. If your calculator is asking for a draw larger than a full syringe, you have almost certainly entered the capsule dose.
