01

What is Gotratix?

Plain language first. The technical label stays, but it never stands alone.

Overview

A capsule made from calf muscle tissue, sold to athletes and to people worried about losing muscle with age. The study behind the sales pitch cannot be looked up.

The technical version

Cytomax peptide fraction A-18, extracted from bovine skeletal muscle tissue of animals under twelve months. Proposed mechanism is tissue-specific modulation of gene expression in myocytes, with claimed antioxidant activity in muscle tissue. No controlled human efficacy data has been published outside the originating Russian research program.

What it's used for

An oral tissue extract marketed for muscle performance, training recovery and muscle loss with age.

02

How does Gotratix work?

What it does in the body, and where.

Gotratix is a mixture of small peptides pulled from skeletal muscle tissue, usually from calves under a year old.

  1. 01
    Drawn from calf muscle tissue
A Cytomax, extracted from the muscle of animals under twelve months. Each capsule is described as containing around 10 mg of peptide fractions.
  2. 02
The claim is action on muscle cell metabolism
Marketing describes effects on energy metabolism in muscle cells and on antioxidant activity in muscle tissue under load. That is a mechanism proposal and has not been demonstrated in a published human trial.
  3. 03
It has no synthetic counterpart here
Ventfort has Vesugen and Testoluten has Testagen. No Cytogen muscle peptide exists in this library, so there is no synthetic version to compare the evidence against.
03

What else is it used for?

Each use below carries its own evidence level. Approved means regulators have cleared it for that purpose. Investigational means it is in trials. Early research means it is being studied and is not established.

  • Supporting muscle cell metabolism, taken orallyResearch only
  • Recovery from intense training, in Russian sports medicine practicenone
  • Age-related muscle lossnone
  • Added to physical activity courses alongside Sigumir, Ventfort and Vladonixnone

How much, and do you cycle it?

The range, and whether you take breaks.

Research only, daily, in 10-30 day courses. Daily for 10 to 30 days, then a long break, repeated a few times a year Community practice

The course pattern comes from Russian practice. Suppliers describe the effect as lasting six to twelve months after a course, which is a claim from the sellers rather than a measured result.

05

How long does it stay in the body?

The half-life, and where the figure comes from.

Nothing publishedNo figure

No half-life has ever been published for any of the Russian bioregulator peptides, in people or in animals. The research behind them, mostly from one group in St Petersburg, measures effects on tissue, gene activity and lifespan. None of it measures how long the peptide stays in the body.

You can compare this against the whole library to see where it sits.

06

What does it cost?

Typical dose and cost, in plain numbers.

Gotratix is not injected

It is taken by mouth (oral). Sold as capsules, so there is nothing to reconstitute and the calculator does not apply. No dose has been established in a published human study.

How do you store it?

Before mixing, and after.

Room temperature. Cool, dry, out of light.

Gotratix is taken as a pill or capsule. Keep it in its original container at room temperature, away from heat, humidity, and direct sun. No fridge or mixing needed. Check the expiration date on the bottle.

08

What are the side effects and cautions?

Known cautions and warnings for this compound.

Who should avoid it

Check these before anything else.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • A known allergy to bovine products
  • Competitive athletes subject to testing, who should check any supplement against their own governing body's rules

Stop and get help

These are emergencies. Seek care.
  • Any allergic reaction
  • Muscle pain with dark urine, which can signal muscle breakdown and needs urgent assessment
  • Any severe or unexpected symptom

Common effects

Expected, and usually mild.
  • No side effects are reported by the manufacturer.
  • Nobody has run the kind of monitored trial that would find them, so the absence is a gap rather than a finding.

Where this page says nothing is established, that means nobody has studied it, not that a compound is safe.

09

Is Gotratix approved?

And where the numbers on this page come from.

No. Gotratix is not approved for any use, anywhere. It is sold labeled for laboratory research only, and there is no legal route to buy it for human use.
