Wolverine(BPC-157 + TB-500)
Neither compound has been tested in the form you can buy.
BPC-157 reached a Phase 2 trial in humans and the results were never published. TB-500's human trial data is all on a different, longer molecule, given as eye drops. This is the most popular combination in peptides, and that is the evidence underneath it.
An injury that has stopped getting better.
This is where most people enter peptides, and the trigger is usually specific: a tendon, a shoulder, a knee, something that healed to eighty percent and stalled there. Physio ran its course, the scan showed nothing surgical, and the thing still hurts.
The reasoning behind the pairing is cleaner than most. BPC-157 is associated with growing new blood vessels into damaged tissue, which is the supply line. TB-500 is associated with getting repair cells to move to where the damage is, which is the delivery. Tendons and ligaments have poor blood supply, which is exactly why they heal slowly, so a compound aimed at that problem makes sense on paper.
It is also the pairing with the longest history. People have run these two together for well over a decade, long enough that vendors now sell them premixed in one vial, and that is unusual in this category.
The trials were run on a different molecule.
Search for TB-500 evidence and you will find clinical trials, orphan drug status, and Phase 3 results. All of it belongs to something else.
A natural protein, 43 amino acids, present in cells and in tears. Trialled as an eye drop under the name RGN-259.
A Phase 3 trial in neurotrophic keratopathy, a condition where the cornea loses feeling and stops healing, found complete healing in 6 of 10 treated patients against 1 of 8 given a placebo, a dummy treatment with nothing active in it.[1] In 2013 the FDA gave it orphan drug status for that condition, a designation for treatments aimed at rare diseases.[3]
A Phase 1 safety study gave it intravenously to 40 healthy volunteers for 14 days with no dose-limiting toxicity.[3]
A piece cut out of the parent protein, covering the section that grips actin, the scaffolding protein cells use to change shape and move. Sold as a powder to reconstitute and inject.
As of 2026, no published trial in humans has tested it for muscles, tendons, the heart, or anything body-wide.[2][4]
Animal wound-healing data exists, using both the full protein and short fragments.[2]
The fragment does keep the mechanically active part of the parent molecule, which is the argument for why the evidence should carry across.[1] It remains an argument. A corneal healing result from a topical eye drop is a long way from a shoulder injected with a fragment.
The wound-healing trials using the full protein are the closest comparison available, and they came out mixed. One reported healing in an average of 22 days against 57 on placebo. The results did not always clear the bar for statistical significance.[3]
Sources cannot agree how long the molecule is.
One source describes TB-500 as a synthetic 17-amino-acid fragment.[2] Another calls it a heptapeptide, meaning seven amino acids, covering positions 17 to 23 along the parent protein.[4] A third calls it a 7-amino-acid fragment.[4]
Seven amino acids, and positions 17 to 23 is a span of seven. The most likely explanation is that the number 17 is the starting position being mistaken for a length, and the error has then propagated.
We have not resolved it from primary sources and are not going to assert a figure we cannot check. It is worth knowing because it sits in the first line of most TB-500 pages, and because a site that gets the length of the molecule wrong is not a site to trust on the harder questions.
BPC-157 got its shot, and the data never came out.
A Croatian company called Pliva took BPC-157 into human testing for inflammatory bowel disease, under the designation PL 14736. A Phase 1 safety study in healthy volunteers found it well tolerated. A Phase 2 trial in ulcerative colitis, a disease that inflames and ulcerates the large bowel, was run. The results have never been published.[5]
As of 2026 there are no published Phase 2 or Phase 3 randomised controlled trials of BPC-157 in humans for any indication.[6]
Companies stop publishing for many reasons and nobody outside Pliva knows which applies. Reading failure into the silence has no more support than reading success into it. The gut stack page covers that trial history in more detail.
The animal work on BPC-157 is substantial and consistent. Tendons, ligaments, gut, and healing after surgery, across many studies. But animal results have translated badly to people for this class of compound, and the unpublished Phase 2 is exactly what could have settled that.[6]
One vial or two.
Wolverine is one of the few combinations sold ready-mixed, which means a real choice rather than a theoretical one. Our blend compound page covers the premixed products and their listings.
Buying one vial means mixing the powder with liquid once instead of twice. One thing to store, fewer punctures, and fewer chances to contaminate something. That is a genuine advantage and it does not depend on any price argument.
The price comparison is harder than it looks and we will not give you a single answer. A premixed vial and two separate vials hold different total amounts, and a blend fixes the ratio between the two compounds so you cannot adjust one without the other. Comparing sticker prices gives one answer and comparing cost per milligram gives the opposite. Both figures are below.
Banned in sport at all times, and off the compounding list.
TB-500 is banned in sport. It sits under section S2 of the 2026 prohibited list from WADA, the World Anti-Doping Agency, which means banned in competition and out of it.[2] That matters here. This stack is popular with people recovering from training injuries, and a tested athlete running it has committed a doping violation whatever their reason.
The FDA keeps a register of ingredients that compounding pharmacies are allowed to work with. It is called the 503A list. In February 2026 TB-500 was moved into Category 2 on that list, which bars pharmacies from using it.[2] You cannot get it through any licensed US pharmacy. An FDA advisory committee reviewed it again in July 2026, as it did BPC-157.
Neither compound is approved by the FDA for any use. Everything sold online is research chemical material.
What people ask about the Wolverine stack
Does the Wolverine stack work?
No study has tested the two compounds together, in people or animals. Separately, BPC-157 has a substantial animal literature and one unpublished human Phase 2. TB-500 has no published human trial showing it works in the injected form people buy. The human evidence attributed to TB-500 online belongs to full-length thymosin beta-4, a longer molecule trialled as an eye drop.
Is TB-500 the same as thymosin beta-4?
No. Thymosin beta-4 is the full natural protein, 43 amino acids, present in cells and tears. TB-500 is a short synthetic fragment of it covering the actin-binding section. The fragment keeps the mechanically active core, which is the argument for why results might carry across, and it remains an argument. Every human trial in this area used the full protein.
Should I buy the blend or two separate vials?
Depends what you weigh. One vial is one reconstitution and fewer chances to contaminate something, which is a real advantage. Separate vials let you change the ratio, which a blend fixes permanently. On price, the premixed vial costs more on the sticker and less per milligram because it holds more material, so the two comparisons disagree. Our blend compound page carries the premixed listings.
Can athletes use it?
TB-500 is banned in sport, in competition and out of it. It sits under section S2 of the 2026 WADA prohibited list. Any tested athlete running this stack has committed a doping violation whatever their reason for taking it.
Can I get it from a pharmacy?
No. In February 2026 TB-500 was moved into Category 2 on the FDA's 503A list, which bars compounding pharmacies from using it. Neither compound has FDA approval for any use. An FDA advisory committee reviewed both again in July 2026.
What is the difference between Wolverine, GLOW and KLOW?
