The FDA calls this compound emideltide. On July 24, 2026, an FDA advisory committee voted 7 to 6 with one abstention against adding it to the list of substances pharmacies may compound. It was the only one of seven peptides reviewed that the committee turned down. Nothing changed for DSIP: no approved use in the US, no legal route through a compounding pharmacy, and no official quality standard.
