Every version is a compounded product, so the formulation, the concentration and the schedule come from the pharmacy rather than from a reviewed application. The component picture is not uniform either. As of the FDA's 14 May 2026 update, choline chloride sits in category 1 of the bulk drug substances nominated for compounding under section 503A, meaning under evaluation rather than cleared, while choline bitartrate sits in category 3, nominated without adequate supporting information. Methionine and inositol do not appear on that nominated list at all.
